Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Radiographers to join our dynamic, friendly team, to play a key role in maintaining and improving standards and quality of patient services. Manchester University Hospital Foundation (MFT) is located in the heart of the vibrant city of Manchester,

It is an exciting time to join our team, with the recent implementation of a new EPR system, as well as a planned wide scale equipment replacement programme.

The post is based at the University Dental hospital, within a small, friendly and nurturing team . Candidates, who have been qualified for 18 months or longer, will also be eligible to apply for link grading to a band 6 post following appointment.

The post involves working core hours, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Main duties of the job

Using the academic and clinical knowledge acquired during undergraduate training carry out a wide range of dental radiographic examinations referred to the department. The responsibilities for the examination include written justification of the examination by consideration of the clinical information provided and selection of the most appropriate examination required to answer the clinical question, whilst minimising radiation dose to the patient and maintaining a high standard of patient care.
