We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious person to join Genomic Medicine The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated, hard working and capable of managing in a team, together with the ability to work on your own initiative. You will also have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload. Good communication and administrative skills are essential, together with the commitment to demonstrate the Trust's Values and Behaviours framework.

Main duties of the job

The Administration Manager is responsible for ensuring the organisation and delivery of a coordinated and responsive Booking & Scheduling and Clerical service in a manner consistent with Trust and local policies, procedures and protocols. To work unsupervised and act independently to manage own workload referring to the Operational Manager when/where necessary. To support and manage, alongside the Operational manager, the administrative team within the Clinical Genetics Booking Scheduling and Clerical Service ensuring that a comprehensive, high quality and efficient service is provided to the various medical and non-medical professionals within the teams ensuring that the organisational needs of the multidisciplinary team and operational issues are met. The role includes direct supervision of the clerical team, being the point of contact when the Operational Manager is unavailable, including arranging cover for annual leave and sickness, monitoring of sickness absence and undertaking yearly appraisal for the administration team. The post holder will develop, introduce and maintain systems and processes to guarantee an efficient and effective service that supports the delivery of activity and performance targets.
