Technologist in Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics

Job summary

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our busy laboratory as a Technologist.

The post-holder will be expected to provide support for the Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics investigations offered by the laboratory in support of organ, tissue and cell transplantation, working to national and international Standards (UKAS, EFI).

Main duties of the job

The post-holder is expected to have knowledge of healthcare science achieved through training and experience to A level/BTEC equivalent level. Previous laboratory experience is essential. Knowledge of and experience in Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics is desirable although training will be provided.

This technical role will include sample processing, routine testing, responsibility for laboratory equipment and stock control.
