Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within MFT for a 12 month fixed term band 6 specialist nurse within the Severe asthma service.

Based at Wythenshawe hospital the successful candidates will provide care to severe asthmatic patients at one of the leading national center's.

The post holder will have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working as a nurse at a band 5 level and will be experienced in the field of respiratory medicine. They will be a confident decision maker, hardworking, forward thinking, dedicated and display a passion for the care of the respiratory patient.

Candidates must hold qualifications demonstrating specialist respiratory knowledge and exhibit a strong desire to develop themselves professionally. Experience within the NHS essential.

Main duties of the job

Working as part of an established multi-disciplinary team the successful post holder will assist in the delivery of care to severe asthma patients, providing assessment, treatment, education, and support to not only patients and their families but also helping to support and develop other healthcare professionals.
