Job summary

Working within Saint Mary's Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) you will provide support to the Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) Team to deliver ISVA services across Greater Manchester.

Undertake specific ISVA tasks as directed by the ISVA Team Lead and/or the SARC Senior management Team.

Offering support, advice and advocacy to adults, children and young people across Greater Manchester who are accessing SARC services.

Main duties of the job

Working within Saint Mary's Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) you will provide support to the Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) Team to deliver ISVA services across Greater Manchester.

Undertake specific ISVA tasks as directed by the ISVA Team Lead and/or the SARC Senior management Team.

This role requires the post holder to work in partnership with multi-agency partners, this includes criminal justice agencies; social care teams; forensic physicians and requires developed communication skills and an ability to work alongside other professionals.

The post holder will provide telephone and face to face support within the context of a non-judgmental and confidential service, supporting the SARC ISVA service. This could include making onward referrals to safeguarding services, counselling services, external agencies and other healthcare services where appropriate following completion of a detailed support needs & risk assessment.
