Job summary
Manchester Royal Infirmary is seeking to recruit a Senior Resident Doctor in Haematology to join our dynamic and expanding team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Haematology Department at MRI, one of the major specialist hospitals within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust leads the Greater Manchester Haematological Cancer Diagnostic Partnership and the North West Genomics Hub, ensuring access to state-of-the-art diagnostics and multidisciplinary collaboration across the region.
This post would suit:
- A doctor at IMT3 level or equivalent seeking to gain clinical and laboratory experience in Haematology prior to applying for higher specialist training.
- Doctors with previous Haematology experience looking for a middle-grade, non-training role, or considering the CESR pathway towards specialist registration.
We can offer:
- Comprehensive training in both malignant and non-malignant haematology

Main duties of the job
The Post
This is a Senior clinical fellow post for the Manchester Royal Infirmary Haematology Department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual. Experience of clinical research would be an advantage as we have a very active clinical trials unit including early phase studies.
The post holder will work closely with the consultant and nursing team to support all aspects of the Haematology Department.
The successful candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
