Speech and Language Therapist - Adult

Job summary

We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic SLT to join our team! You will work on the Stroke ward and general acute wards assessing and treating swallowing and communication problems in adult inpatients.We are a large, friendly team with great supervision structures - both 1:1 with senior SLTs and Band 5 peer supervision. We have regular inservice training and are committed to ongoing professional development.

We will support with NQPs and dysphagia competencies.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a high-quality, evidence-based and efficient speech and language therapy service to adults within the Stroke Unit and general acute wards.

The post holder will provide assessment, therapy and management of swallowing and/or communication difficulties in adult inpatients.The post holder will participate in ongoing Continuing Professional Development, clinical audit and inservice training.

The post holder will be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their professional and clinical work, working to agreed national and professional standards.
