Job summary
The Sleep Services Department Assistant works as part of the Sleep Physiology team, providing an efficient, high quality and patient focussed Sleep service. You will aid qualified staff before, during and after sleep studies are undertaken in the department and give the necessary direct care as required to the patient throughout their sleep care pathway.
The main duty of the role will be to support patients and carry out clinical observations during overnight sleep studies.
Main duties of the job
Work collaboratively with others to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the respiratory and sleep physiology service.
Continuous professional development is strongly encouraged to further develop your skills and knowledge. This will include support to attend relevant professional courses and conferences. There will also be excellent opportunities to gain additional experience and build on new skills.
