Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• Basic education including minimum 5 GCSE grade A-C (grade 4-9) or equivalent including Math and English.

Desirable

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant scientific area.
• Healthcare Apprenticeship

Experience

Essential

• Experience working with the general public.
• Use of computers including Microsoft Office.

Desirable

• Previous Healthcare/Clinical Experience.
• Practical Experience or familiarity with a range of respiratory/sleep investigations.
• Overnight monitoring of patients

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

• Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information in a variety of forms to patients, relatives carers and staff where appropriate
• Ability to keep accurate documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Must maintain total patient confidentiality at all times.
• Prepared to work unsociable hours on a rostered system ( Night shifts will be the main working pattern)
• Caring manner
• Motivated and organised

Desirable

• Able to undertake complex eye-hand co-ordination in the use of diagnostic equipment.
• Open to further study.
