Health Adviser - Salford Integrated Sexual Health Service

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen at Northern Contraception, Sexual Health & HIV Service to join our friendly team at our Salford Hub at Lance Burn Health Centre. Our Integrated Sexual Health Service provides a Level 3 contraception and Sexual Health services, we have a number of clinics across Salford

The post holder will have experience in sexual health and contraception , . Holding the DFSRH/STIF qualification or equivalent.

The post holder will undertake duties of seeing patients independently within an integrated sexual and reproductive health service. To participate in clinical duties commensurate with their banding, experience and competence.

Main duties of the job

To complete partner notification and support colleagues with Health Adviser tasks

To perform symptomatic and asymptomatic screening, venepuncture, vaccination as an autonomous practitioner.

To provide sexual health advice to clients as appropriate, including supporting the role of the health advisor.

To undertake the administration of hormonal contraception and medicines under agreed Patient Group Directions (PGD) or as a non medical prescriber.

Your main place of work will be at The lance Burn Health Centre in Salford,

We will consider appointing to a band 5-6 training position if there are no applications from suitably qualified nurses.
