Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Job summary

We are excited to invite applications for this specialist SLT post working with patients with Head & Neck cancer! You will work at the hub of H&N cancer service provision for patients throughout Greater Manchester. We work with inpatients and outpatients, delivering quality SLT intervention to add communication and swallowing problems. We have regular VF and FEES clinics (training can be provided) as well as regular laryngectomy valve-change clinics (training provided). The team is led by H&N Clinical Lead SLT and benefits from regular, ongoing CPD. The team also benefits from the larger SLT team covering many specialities across our service. Main duties of the job

1. To be a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist in the field of adult acquired swallowing/communication disorders in patients with Head & Neck cancer.

2. To deliver highly specialist SLT intervention to inpatients and outpatients with Head & Neck cancer across the Trust.

3. To work closely and effectively with SLT/ENT colleagues and other relevant stakeholders across the Trust/city wide.
