The postholder will oversee and coordinate the Managed Equipment Service for the Division of Imaging. Working to the imaging Senior Leadership Team the postholder will engage with a diverse group of senior stakeholders across the Trust, ensuring timely delivery of major equipment replacement programmes.

The postholder will also be responsible for driving compliance, from ongoing maintenance and asset availability to helpdesk support and staff training whilst navigating contracts, monitoring performance, and resolving challenges with confidence. Main duties of the job

Collaborating with the Division of Imaging senior team, Estates, other Trust colleagues, Trust PFI Partners, and the MES provider, the manager will oversee the equipment replacement plan, ensuring it aligns with agreed timelines and contract terms. This role requires interpreting and resolving complex contract-related issues and effectively communicating with stakeholders to address queries. The postholder is expected to be the point of escalation between the MES provider and the Division of Imaging team to help lead and manage incidents of equipment downtime to ensure the best possible outcome for the equipment to be brought back in operation can be achieved.

Implement project management tools to swiftly address any deviations from the DoI contracts and SLAs across all Imaging services with stakeholders within MFT and with external partners.

Lead and participate in working groups essential for the successful execution of plans and contractual provisions, including the MES Investment Committee, Facility Infrastructure User Group, Works Group and IS Quality Assurance meetings.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including senior clinical staff, for the selection, procurement, and commissioning of new equipment or service delivery models to ensure compliance with contractual specifications and operational readiness.

Essential

  • Master's or equivalent (Chartered) qualification in a business-related subject or in programme management, law, finance or engineering.

Desirable

  • Project Management Qualification.
  • Accreditation in contract management from the Government Commercial College or other recognised contract management certification.

Knowledge, Training, Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience of managing all aspects of large, complex, multi-stakeholder implementation programmes within live operational environments.
  • Proven ability in contractor management and delivering outcomes against specific programmes and budgets.
