Senior Clinical Videographer - Band 6 - 22.5 hours per week
£38,682 - £46,580 (pro rata)
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Videographer to join the well-established Clinical Photography & Medical Illustration Services at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's, Oxford Road campus. Our organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester, where these changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes for the communities we serve.
The Clinical Photography and Medical Illustration Service support not only the ten main hospital sites in the Trust, but also external customers including Universities, solicitors, city councils and law enforcement agencies.
As one of the oldest of its kind in the Northwest, the department dates to the early 1940s and has produced many professionally highly regarded colleagues over the years, it is a multi award-winning department setting the benchmark for continuous professional development and its high-quality work. Our bespoke facilities, offers the ideal environment for the right candidate to develop their skills and the videography services further.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate must have a recognised film or multimedia qualification BA (Hons) or BSc (Hons) and have substantial experience in the industry shooting with mirrorless cameras would be advantageous as would experience with motion graphics and gimbals. You will be expected to work within clinical and non-clinical areas; therefore, the successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to 'up skill' in those areas. You would have a proven record in video production, essential knowledge in scripting, story boarding, filming, sound production and editing in industry standard software. Working as a part of a team, you will also be expected to work alone and therefore need to be self-motivated, disciplined, collaborative, a mentor to junior staff and work experience students and above all, have 'good' communication skills.
