Job summary

To assist in providing Project Management duties to the WTWA Trust property portfolio including Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington & Altrincham Hospitals and off-site properties.

To assist in the investigation, design and production of the Trust space allocation and as built information database

Assist theAssociate Director of Estates in the implementation of the Trust's Capital Programme, Strategic Planning and Estates Rationalisation with other Senior Officers.

Main duties of the job

Assist the Associate Director of Estates in the development of the Trust asset register as built data manual and operating maintenance manuals.Assist in the development of design with clinical adjacencies and inter departmental relationships for operational estates projects.Assist in ensuring compliance with Statutes and Codes of Practice insofar as they apply to the Trust and the design process with particular regard to the Health & Safety At Work Act1974, Building Regulations, Health Technical Memoranda, Health Building Notes, CapitalInvestment Manual, and other relevant guidelines.To assist in providing plan and elevation drawings including relevant schedules for building project managers and building surveyors in the estates department.

  • Post graduate qualification or equivalent experience in a project environment.
  • A good knowledge of construction, especially the development, adaptation and refurbishment of buildings.
  • At least 2-years experience working in architecture and/or technician (AutoCAD) role, preferably within a Healthcare environment. Post holder should have experience of ?Preparing detailed working drawings ?Preparing specifications ?Preparing tender documentation ?Management of construction projects ?Consultation and liaison with diverse user groups Note: sandwich placement to aiming to have this experience following placement.
  • A good knowledge of construction, especially the development, adaptation and refurbishment of buildings.
