We are seeking an exceptional Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. This is a critical position within HInM, providing financial and commercial expertise to support our ambitious programme of transformation across health, care, industry, and academia.
Health Innovation Manchester is hosted by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead HInM's finance and procurement work. You'll support financial planning, reporting, governance,and compliance, ensuring the organisation meets its statutory duties and operates sustainably. This includes budgeting, financial performance, costing, procurement, commercial contracts, and risk management.
As a trusted adviser, you'll work with Senior Managers and Delivery Teams, supporting programmes, projects and strategic decisions. You will also work externally with key stakeholders including NHS bodies, universities, local authorities, industry partners, and national funders.
Main duties of the job
We're looking for a qualified and experienced finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will bring:
Substantial experience in financial management, ideally blending experience across a range of sectors, including public sector
Strong commercial acumen and experience of project accounting, complex financial planning and reporting
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to partnership working
Experience of procurement, contracting and resource planning in a matrixed environment
Proven influencing and people management skills
