Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a highly organised and compassionate individual to provide administrative and regulatory support in the management of gamete and embryo storage in accordance with Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) regulations and Trust policies. This role plays a vital part in maintaining statutory compliance while supporting patients throughout their fertility journey.
Main duties of the job
Maintain an effective and compliant bring-forward system ensuring that patients are notified in accordance with the HFEA gamete and embryo storage requirements in advance of their statutory storage expiry dates and within regulatory timeframes. This includes providing sensitive, accurate guidance on options such as extended storage, donation, posthumous use, or research. Upholding compliance is vital, as any breach of the statutory storage limits is a criminal offence and contravenes the HFEA licence.
Manage the storage payment and fee-paying functions within the department.
