Job summary

Connect NW is a dedicated Neonatal Transport Service which has the highest activity in the UK, working across the whole of the NW region to support the transfer of critically sick and preterm infants for specialist neonatal intensive care. The service provides a comprehensive and high quality level of support to patients and their families, with a predominantly ANNP led workforce. In recent years Connect NW has benefitted from considerable investment to provide a fleet of new dedicated neonatal ambulances and increased funding to work towards 24/7 neonatal transport consultant support. The service has recently moved into brand new accomodation in a single ambulance Hub near Warringon which has provided excellent facilities in a central location.

Connect NW is one of the leading Neonatal Transport Services in the UK, with a high national profile for innovative developments. The service is supported by St John Ambulance, who provide a robust level of ambulance support 24/7.

The service is hosted by Saint Marys Hospital Manchester, which also has one of the highest activity levels for Neonatology within the UK and provides high quality Neonatal Care, co-located with Neonatal Surgery and tertiary Paediatric services.
