Antenatal and Newborn Failsafe officer for Hemoglobinopathy's

Job summary

An exciting job opportunity has arisen to work alongside the Maternity team based at the Manchester Sickle cell and Thalassemia center next to the Oxford Road site at MFT.

The post holder will bring extensive knowledge and skills needed to provide and support safety facilitating rapid uptake of screening and action for women and babies whilst being tested for Hemoglobinopathy's .

Main duties of the job

You will have highly proficient IT skills and will require experience using all Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint and MS Forms.

You are expected to provide high level of organization skills and be able to attend weekly MDT meetings. The successful candidate will monitor and be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition for women and babies undergoing screening and diagnosis in the hemoglobinopathy screening element of the Antenatal and New born screening pathway. You will be expected to oversee and manage the national New born outcome IT systems, applying tight fail safe and safety netting referrals into Royal Manchester Children's hospital using closed loop communication to ensure that the pathway is completed from start to finish.
