Principal Analyst - Lung Cancer Screening

Job summary

To plan, develop and implement the provision of accurate, timely and high-quality information to support and inform the business information requirements of the Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) Programme.

To proactively provide specialised advice on information for patient access management, business planning and service delivery. Provide informatics expertise to the TLHC Programme Team and Stakeholders using the Trust's information resources, bespoke analysis and the establishment of new information requirements and reports.

Main duties of the job

To work closely with the Corporate and Operational teams to provide analytical support to determine future pressures against key deliverables, particularly in relation to the National Targeted Lung Health Check Screening Programme and locally commissioned targets.

To lead the analytical work within the TLHC Programme to assess capacity and demand, identifying areas of service pressure, undertaking gap analysis and support the production of option appraisals.

To ensure timely data flow from the TLHC Specialist software to facilitate reporting, implementing data quality checks to ensure data integrity, providing a bedrock of confidence for robust reporting and analysis.

To automate data management and reporting processes to make reporting efficient and effective.

To provide detailed analysis to model demand, resources and throughput to ensure appropriate balance of provision and to identify variances between supply and demand to facilitate discussions of service change, provision or development.

To lead on all TLHC Programme analysis issues relating to national and GM performance expectations including activity delivery, cancer diagnostics, and compliance with clinical quality assurance metrics. Encompassing all work around patient mapping and its implications in terms of activity deliverable and effect upon financial income.
