Job summary
This Band 6 MSK Physiotherapy role is within the Children & Young People's MSK team that delivers high quality specialist children's physiotherapy care to children and young people aged 0-18 across all community clinics in Manchester.
This role is assessing, treating and advising children and young people with musculoskeletal disorders and requires a focused, highly reliable and forward-thinking physiotherapist with paediatric experience and knowledge, able to undertake assessment, clinical analysis and treatment planning.
Our service offers a supportive team to work alongside and will enable you to learn quickly and work with highly skilled and experienced paediatric physiotherapists. You will have access to advice and support from senior staff, an established development framework, an active IST and involvement in service development.
This is a community post, and you will need have a UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Main duties of the job
To have HCPC registration, a degree in Physiotherapy and be professionally, legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work, working to agreed national and professional standards.
As an experienced autonomous practitioner to undertake the assessment, clinical diagnosis and treatment of children & young people with musculo-skeletal conditions. They may have multiple pathology with a complex presentation
To ensure a high standard of care for each child, working with all disciplines and agencies involved with the family
To undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard using specialist knowledge from theoretical and practical experience
To interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts to form accurate diagnosis and effective intervention strategies.
To formulate with parents/carers and the child/young person an individual physiotherapy management plan using advanced clinical reasoning skills
