An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist drive forward the Aortic Aneurism Service, overseeing patients on the Aortic pathway and ensuring patients are monitored. The post holder will be expected to assess, plan and implement patient care. Provide advice and guidance to the multidisciplinary team and ensure all records and documentation are completed and relevant. The role involves managing staff, rotas, appraisals, recruitment and selection, resource control and budgetary management for the area. This role will require enhanced communication skills to deal with the broad range of issues involved in the day-to-day management of the service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to assess, plan and implement patient care., driving forward the Aortic Aneurism service, reviewing and writing protocols.Provide advice and guidance to the multidisciplinary team and ensure all records and documentation arecompleted and relevant.The role involves managing staff, rotas, appraisals, recruitment and selection, resource control andbudgetary management for the area.This role involves the overall responsibility for the Aortic Aneurysm and cardiac pre-operative service and therefore will requireenhanced communication skills in order to deal with the broad range of issues involved in the day to day management of the service.
