Job summary

The Acute Occupational Therapy Team at Wythenshawe Hospital are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, team player to undertake the role of Occupational Therapy Practitioner.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work under the direction, guidance and supervision of the registered Occupational Therapists, to support the delivery of an effective Occupational Therapy service, early patient assessment and provide safe and timely discharges.

The successful candidate will support the Occupational Therapists in completing patient assessments, ordering equipment, supporting community visits to support discharges, and conversing with ward teams, professionals, patients and their family and or carers.

The post holder should have good communication skills both verbal and written. These skills should also include the use of IT equipment and confidence using the telephone.
