Lead Manager Post, 8B, 12 months fixed term post
We are Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO) - an exciting, new public sector organisation bringing together NHS community health services and adult social care services in Manchester. We're driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Manchester by working across organisational boundaries.The Lead Manager role is a key strategic and operational leadership role within the Service. The Lead Manager will provide leadership, operational management and strategic direction to their services. The service specific strategies will contribute to and inform the Children's Community Health Services (CCHS) and LCO strategy This post will be responsible for Manchester Health Visiting Service and Child Health Administration Service.
The Lead Manager will ensure the supportive and responsive day-to-day operational management of their services. They will provide visible leadership to all staff within the operations teams and create a supportive organisational culture in which team members feel empowered and committed to deliver focused, modern, effective and efficient services.
Main duties of the job
The Lead Manager will play a key role in ensuring CCHS delivers on agreed performance indicators in relation to outcomes, efficiency, national and local targets. The post holder will develop and implement operational plans that achieve corporate objectives and key performance targets.
There will be an emphasis on the need to develop a culture to support the provision of excellent clinical services, underpinned by structured performance management and delivery as a foundation for excellent organisational performance. The Lead Manager will oversee the delivery of work across their services, ensuring a robust and effective performance monitoring framework is in place with particular focus on delivery of key access targets, activity and capacity planning and quality improvement plans. With an understanding of the challenges and issues facing those working to deliver services, the post holders will undertake this role using emotional intelligence.
The Lead Manager will interface with partnership agencies to continue to improve the coordination of pathways and transformation over time.
