Job summary
To provide support to the Apprenticeship team in the delivery of apprenticeship programmes using various functional skills educational tools/ resources.
To lead on exam invigilation,devise and develop relevant functional skills education resources/ materials and provide teaching, feedback and support to learners.
To provide timely reports to all relevant external Information systems and provide the Apprenticeship team and managers with informed progress reports.
To support learners with a focus on the development, support and timely achievement of functional skills as part of the apprenticeship qualification.
Main duties of the job
Support with the embedding of functional skills into taught sessions on practice based topics
To complete tasks as delegated by the Quality Assurance Manager in connection with the successful running of the apprenticeship programmes.
To teach and assess Functional skills English/ Mathson the apprenticeship programmes including the development and maintenance of schemes of work and lesson plans which should be updated on a regular basis
To support the timely achievement of apprenticeships and take responsibility for the Functional Skills components
To support the apprenticeship delivery team within curriculum areas to embed Functional Skills in schemes of work and lesson plans.
To devise a programme of learning (scheme of work) with appropriate effective teaching and learning strategies, resources and assessments.
To maintain attendance registers, records of progress and ensure Learners are correctly enrolled with the Trust and Awarding Bodies.
To provide classroom assistance to the Apprenticeship Assessors with learners particularly those that require additional one to one support or functional skills training.
To support other apprenticeship team members in understanding the individual's duties, to enable appropriate cover. To contribute to the Induction of new staff to develop knowledge and skills for their role.
