Job summary
A part-time Consultant in Orthodontics is required to join the existing team of Oral and Maxillofacial and Restorative Consultants at North Manchester and affiliated sites within MFT. Post holders may be required to work at any of the Trust sites if necessary. This is an existing post to replace a departed consultant. This appointment [5.5 PAs] will be made in accordance with the 2003 Consultant Contract Terms and Conditions. Candidates who are unable, for personal reasons, to work full time are eligible to apply and, if successful, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis in consultation with consultant colleagues.

Main duties of the job
- You'll provide outstanding clinical leadership across NMGH, and outreach sites, delivering highly personalised care alongside developing your skills in clinical research to advance the field of oral maxillofacial surgery.
- Through postgraduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, you'll have obtained the Intercollegiate Exit FRC (OMFS) to provide surgical interventions for various oral and maxillofacial procedures, such as dental implants, orthognathic surgeries, TMJ disorders, facial trauma, and facial reconstructive surgeries.
- You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including dentists, orthodontists, radiologists, and anaesthesiologists, ensuring optimal patient care and treatment outcomes for patients and have a direct impact on the lives of thousands of people across Manchester and beyond.
