Job summary

We are looking for an inspirational Deputy Chief Nurse to join the corporate team at MFT. Together with the wider Director of Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health Professional colleagues, you will take responsibility for the quality of care provided to patients and leadership of the professional workforce, you will also support the Chief Nurse in the delivery of the portfolios covering Safeguarding, Workforce & Safe Staffing, Patient Experience, and Infection Prevention and Control.

As DeputyChief Nurse you will promote a culture where colleagues feel safe to raise concerns and provide professional leadership of the nursing, midwifery, and allied health workforce while remaining in line with our values and policies. You will support the Chief Nurse in further developing and enhancing our academic and research partnerships to ensure that we continue our important research and innovation work and provide a high-quality learning environment for clinical professionals.

Main duties of the job

As our successful candidate, you have a significant leadership track record within a complex healthcare setting and must have a demonstrable commitment to putting patients first, have a vision for innovative clinical service delivery, and be a genuine role model for our clinical workforce. You will also demonstrate the inclusive leadership abilities needed to develop a high-quality working environment, embedding our values in every aspect of our organisation's work.
