Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Specialist Physiotherapists to work in the Elective Orthopaedic Therapy Team at Trafford hospital within the AHP Division. Availability is there for 1 full time post and 1 part time post.
You will be working as part of a dynamic, well-established, multidisciplinary team, alongside a Clinical Lead, experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants. We promote close multidisciplinary team working allowing a holistic approach to patient care. You will provide the specialist assessment and management of Elective Orthopaedic patients at the Trafford Elective Hub and work with a wide range of patients across the Day Surgery unit and the In-patient orthopedic ward.
As part of this Band 6 role you will contribute to service developments and quality improvement initiatives. You will also be responsible for the supervision of Band 5's and unregistered members of staff. You will support undergraduate education as well as your own continued professional development.
The Trust operates a 7 day and evening twilight service and all staff are expected to contribute. You would also be expected to contributed to the on call respiratory rota.

Main duties of the job
- Assessment and Treatment of In-patient and Day case Elective Orthopaedic patients.
- Induct and supervise junior and unregistered staff.
- Participate in team trainings and education.
- Contribute to on call, twilight and weekend rota's.
- Support undergraduate education
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement projects.
- Maintain own Continuous Professional Development.
