Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 to work on very busy Ambulatory Care Unit, working with Ed patients medical patients and GP referrals. With a busy clinic area and ward based patients.We are looking for an enthusiastic senior staff nurse to join our team. As a management team we aim to lead by example and as a role model to all our team. We are looking for a candidate who has leadership skills and is able to lead a ward efficiently and safely.You would be a valued member of the MDT team and expected to deliver high standards of person centered care showing empathy patience and understanding at all times.To be hardworking and conscientious, you will have well- developed motivational skills and evidence of involvement in change management and improvement. A mature and thorough approach to your work extending and developing nursing roles and an enthusiasm for learning new skills.

Main duties of the job

Be responsible for the delivery of clinical expertise in all aspects of the clinical setting clinical setting, acting as a visible practitioner in the Ward/Department and collaborate with other health care professionals in the delivery of high standards of effective health care within best practice guidelines.

Promote the shared objectives of the multidisciplinary team by working closely to ensure that best practice is achieved utilising both Clinical Benchmarking and Essence of Care processes to achieve this.

Participate in the implementation and delivery of the standards set within the Trust Nursing & midwifery Strategy.

Contribute to clinical governance processes including adverse incident reporting/investigating and the management of complaints, as appropriate.

To promote health education in the client group attending the ward/department.

Practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct in order that a safe and quality service is provided.
