As an Junior Trainer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering meaningful, useful training, working closely with clinical, administrative and managerial colleagues to ensure it supports both clinical and operational needs.

Joining us, you'll gain knowledge to help you design and deliver training materials. . And, leading the design and ongoing maintenance of the training environment, including the patient scenarios, workflows and example data used, you'll also be involved in testing the system to ensure that its safe, usable and secure.

You'll be supporting staff across the Trust to successfully complete the workflow-based training.

Main duties of the job

1. Plan, design and deliver a range of training courses for clinical and business applications in classroom, 1-1 and online settings.2. Support colleagues across the Trust to provide application support, advice and guidance required.3. Process map departmental and individual workflows to ensure effective delivery of role specific training.4. Work as part of the clinical applications team, ensuring that staff are fully trained and reviewed on a regular basis in order to promote to users a high standard of data quality, in accordance with local and national standards.5. Ensure that all materials associated with IT training and its publicity (online booking forms, user guides, web-based training material, training pages on the Trust's intranet) are kept uniformly updated in line with changes to the software and/or business processes.6. The successful candidate will be empathetic, approachable, patient, and respectful and will be able to take appropriate decisions whilst in charge in the training room.

To undertake Training Needs Analysis for end user staff and identify and deliver appropriate training solutions.3. To contribute to the design and creation of eLearning materials to support classroom training.Training Delivery1. To co-ordinate and complete the necessary preparation of training facilities prior to delivery of training courses.2. To deliver training on the various clinical applications (Electronic Patient Record systems) to end users. From time to time, some of these courses will need to be delivered in the evenings or at weekends, in order to train health care professionals who work shifts.3. To devise and deliver a programme of training for colleagues with a range of IT competencies.4. To be responsible for the preparation and delivery of high quality training for all staff working in collaboration with other members of the training team as well as liaising with Departmental Heads and Managers.5. To use new technologies and equipment in the delivery of training to enhance learning.6. To work in collaboration with colleagues within the Trust in order to ensure specific, measurable and relevant IT systems training is provided in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.7. To be able to act independently particularly when assessing the ability of staff, tailoring the training according to their needs and taking any follow-up action required.8. To evaluate training provided from the responses on the evaluation forms and to seek to continually improve the training service.9. To develop and create training reports to monitor quality and take-up which will be published to departments.

Training Documentation

1. To prepare, document and maintain all training materials and relateddocumentation including training manuals, certificates, hand-outs and promotional materials according to Trust and national standards.2. To assist with the development of How do I do..? materials and frequently asked questions, for publication on Intranets and other web sites.3. To ensure that accurate records are maintained of training provided and appraisal forms received.4. To work with the Training Administrator to cover all aspects of administration for training delivery, ensuring provision of a smooth, efficient and accessible service.5. To maintain the IT Training pages on the Trusts Intranet site.
