A fantastic opportunity to join the MFT Senior Costing Team has arisen from investment into the team and a restructure, to support our vision of enhancing decision-making through data insights.
The post holder will provide leadership for the cost modelling team, implementing changes to enhance cost modelling with a focus on automation, new processes, and advanced methodologies. Collaboration with the supportive data team will maximise the benefits of our newly implemented EPR system (EPIC).
Essential skills include strong analytical and data proficiency. Management or development experience is crucial, as you will oversee proactive staff members. Leading a section, means planning skills are essential. While costing experience is preferred, applications from individuals with relevant analytical and leadership expertise are welcome.

Main duties of the job
The Head of Cost Modelling will lead the section of the costing team responsible for building all cost models in the day-to day management, validation, and review of the trust wide patient level costing. The primary job purpose is to ensure that high quality data is available for financial reports for trust wide analysis, hospital teams and production of the nationally required costing submissions, which ultimately support data driven decision making.

- Fully Qualified accountant with one of the Chartered Bodies and relevant experience or qualification by experience or equivalent non-accounting qualification, such as master's degree will also be considered.
