The Directorate of Surgical Specialities at WTWA, delivers services across four sites and beyond. To support our expansive services and ensure we reach our strategic aims, we are looking to recruit looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic operational Directorate Manager, who will be primarily based at the Wythenshawe Hospital within the Surgical Specialities Directorate.

Main duties of the job

This is a senior role responsible for leading and managing a large, complex, and diverse Directorate, which is an exciting opportunity for an individual wishing to progress their career in operational management.

You will work as part of a multi disciplinary team in conjunction with the Clinical Director, Lead Nurse and Matrons for your services as well as an engaged Divisional triumvirate team to support you.

This role incorporates both strategic and operational responsibilities with a large degree of autonomy given the cross site services that the Divison provides, as such the post holder will require significant operational experience gained in an acute setting to prepare them for this.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven ability in managing operational performance within tight financial constraints, a strong track record of improvement skills demonstrating effective delivery of significant quality and efficiency schemes, alongside knowledge of capacity planning, and the skill of translating organisation strategy into visions and against operational objectives.
