Main duties of the job

The Postholder will support Lead Patient Pathway Coordinators ensuringthe provision of a comprehensive service to the Consultants and their teams, working within this area. They will support the LeadPPC, who are the point of contact for patients accessing elective hospital services throughout their pathway of care ensuring Trustquality standards and targets are achieved.Based in a specialty clinical team, the post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating topatients' pathway of care, tracking and supporting them from referral to treatment &/or discharge.The postholder will provide a patient focused service that supports clinical staff in the provision of efficient integrated pathways thatenable the best use of resources and ensure that patients are fit, willing and able to be treated and that they are treated in the rightplace, by the right person, at the right time.The post holder will ensure high levels of patient care and will ensure clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focusedand knowledgeable point of contact

  • An understanding of secretarial procedures
  • Competent in Word and Excel
  • NHS or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of 18 weeks RTT
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team or unsupervised.

  • Experience of working within the NHS
  • Good organisation skills and willingness to learn
  • HIVE/Hospital systems
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
