Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant to work as part of the Amputee Rehabilitation team based at the Specialised Ability Centre Manchester.

The successful candidate will be based at our regional out-patient centre in Sharston, working as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary team caring for patients with all levels of amputation and ages.

We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic and compassionate individual committed to the delivery of high quality care.

You will assist in the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Counselling and Nursing departments.

You will work as an inter-disciplinary practitioner supporting the role of all members of the team to ensure high quality patient-focused care to out-patients and community patients as required. You will assist in the treatment of Amputees who may have complex acute or chronic rehabilitation needs.

This is a full time permanent post (37.5 hours over 5 days)

The post holder will be based at the Specialised Ability Centre, however there may be some requirement to visit patients in the community.

The role will involve supporting all age groups.

  • Literacy and good written skills
  • Achievement of specialty-specific therapy competences within 1 year of appointment
