Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic member of staff to join the Lung cancer directorate as a Practice based Educator.
You will be expected to lead on the training of all staff within the clinical areas of Lung Cancer from the wards to the lung screening nurse who are based in the community.
Permanent role - 37.5 hours per week
Main duties of the job
To facilitate and support the development of nursing and midwifery practice by promoting, maintaining and co-ordinating education across the trust in order to promote a skilled and knowledgeable workforce competent to meet the needs of patients in all clinical areas.
Work with the Educator and Development Practitioner and Lead Corporate Educator and the academy in delivering an educational strategy for nursing/ midwifery/AHP's.
Work with the Educator and Development Practitioner and Lead Corporate Educator and the academy in the delivery of specific training programmes for Nurses/ Midwives and AHP's to deliver education for the organisation.
Within your role you will be expected to cover all clinical areas within lung cancer and the Lung screening trucks
