Job summary

An exciting new role has been created within the Lung cancer/Bronchscopy team as part as the role out for the Infoflex booking system, this a 12 month Fixed term/secondment role. Infoflex has been implemented within WTWA to receive external referrals to allow patients to have faster testing in compliance with Greater Manchester Cancer.

You must have good all round administration skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customer service experience and be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office.You will have attention to detail and the ability to prioritise incoming work so as to meet deadlines. With a strong emphasis on customer service, you will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels.

We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be primarily working closely with our team of Lung cancer Consultant & Specialist Nurses, providing administration support relating to the booking of patients and also building relationships with external stakeholders.

The above will include booking pre-operative appointments, listing patients for surgery, producing appointment correspondence, requesting images and clinical reports from outside the department, checking our Infoflex system system daily for any new patient referrals that require to be booked and monitored to ensure the patient receives a faster more efficient pathway to their diagnosis/treatment.,
