Job summary
St Mary's Community midwives are looking to appoint a clinic coordinator to provide high quality administration and supervisory support to the community midwife service.
The post holder will support the Administration Team Leader with all aspects of administration, including managing new referrals, clinic attendances and telephone queries. The post holder will supervise the community administration team ensuring the day to day running of service runs smoothly and communicating clearly to management, any concerns or suggestions for improvements.
This important member of the team will need to be flexible, possess excellent communication skills and be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Administration Team Leader with all aspects of administration, including managing clinic templates, new referrals, clinic attendances, respond to telephone queries and minute the Midwife team lead meeting.
Supervise community administration staff including maintaining daily operational rotas, staff training and induction of new starters.
Oversee the provision of a customer-centric call centre service, communicating effectively with staff and patients, dealing with enquiries and/or complaints both in person and on the telephone.
Ensure adequate stocks of stationery, medical supplies ( in collaboration with midwife team leads) and forms are maintained and used cost effectively within the department, liaising as appropriate with the team leader/clinic co-ordinator when stocks need to be replenished.
