Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is delighted to advertise substantive Consultant Radiologist posts with a specialist interest in Gastrointestinal imaging to join our existing motivated and dynamic team across this large, developing, and aspirational Trust. The posts are within the Adults' Radiology Directorate within the Division of Imaging

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of 57 Consultant Radiologists in Adults' Radiology providing a full range of imaging services to the local population and tertiary level services across Greater Manchester and beyond. Adults' Radiology is the largest department within the Division of Imaging, and our consultant team provides a full range of general and specialist imaging for adult patients across our 3 Acute and 2 non-acute hospital sites.

Main duties of the job

Subspecialty

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of 21 GI/Body radiologists providing a full range of GI services to the local population and tertiary level HPB services to Greater Manchester and beyond.

The successful candidate should be competent to report all aspects of body cross section to support the GI and HPB services. Experience of GI USS & GI fluoroscopy is essential. Basic GI interventional techniques (e.g. biopsy and abdominal drainage) and contrast enhanced body ultrasound (CEUS)is desirable and there is the opportunity to develop an interest in intervention, CEUS, bowel ultrasound and endoscopic ultrasound.

The successful applicant will contribute to the Colorectal and Hepatobiliary cancer sMDTs. There are opportunities to be involved in several benign MDTs including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, gastro/benign HPB and liver/hepatology meetings. The department is developing a rapid diagnostic cancer service and the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the hot reporting for this service.

Acute & On-Call Radiology

This comes with 1PA of general Acute and 0.5 PA of On-call.
