We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can contribute to the development of research within the Re-Emerging Research team. The Re-Emerging Research team facilitates and supports research delivery in Critical Care & Respiratory at Wythenshawe Hospital.

Clinical research at MFT

Our MFT Research and Innovation strives to be at the forefront of R&I in UK healthcare. We are dedicated to driving continuous improvement in the care our patients receive through clinical research. We support over 300 principal investigators undertake research across a diverse range of clinical areas, with more than 800 active studies, involving 15,000 patients, deliver improved diagnostics, treatments and devices for patients in Manchester and beyond.

Main duties of the job

What we're looking for

We're looking for a part time (0.8 WTE) Band 6 Senior Clinical Research Nurse to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

  • Registered Nurse- currently registered with the NMC
  • Degree in healthcare subject or equivalent level of experience

Desirable

  • Good Clinical Practice certificate
  • Mentorship training
  • Additional specialist training /Post graduate diploma

  • Understanding of clinical research
  • Knowledge of ICH- GCP regulations relating to clinical research

  • Knowledge of clinical and research governance
