Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for Health Care Support Workers to join the Medical Division at North Manchester General Hospital on our Frailty Unity Based at Crumpsal Vale within the grounds of North Manchester General hospital. The Unit is newly built 16 bedded single room with en-suite mixed gender unit caring for frail adult patients.
We specialise in the ongoing care of frail elderly patients, focusing on safe discharge back in to the community. To achieve this focus on an effective MDT approach and you will work closely with our nursing, medical and therapy team to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
We are looking for individuals with experience in healthcare who have a particular passion for caring for our elderly patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
Be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care/services to patient/ service users within the Trust.
Work under the overall supervision of a registered member of staff.
Carry out a limited number of delegated procedures requiring a base level of theoretical knowledge, understanding and skill specific to the specialist area

- Holds National Care Certificate or be willing to undertake and complete within 12 weeks of starting.
- Holds Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English or GCSE equivalent or undertake and achieve a pass following completion of level 1 functional skills assessment
