As a result of service transformation an exciting opportunity has arisen in Manchester's School Health Service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate SCPHN who is ready to further develop their career, by becoming a School Nurse Team Leader. This is a rotational post but initially and for a period of 2 years, You can help us to shape and develop our forward thinking School Health Service in Manchester.
You will:
Be a Qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse)
Be a Registered Nurse/RSCN.
Be an innovative and proactive practitioner
Have considerable School Nursing experience
Have Leadership/management experience
Main duties of the job
Working with a citywide overview, this Team Lead post is responsible for the day-to-day clinical and operational leadership of at least one of the six child focused functions, namely; Immunisation; Screening; Safeguarding; the Healthy Child Programme; Healthy Weight; and the Healthy Schools Programme.
This post will be subject to review and is rotational to provide the opportunity for professional development and support service delivery.
This Team Lead role will also work together with the Team Leads of the other Functions, with the Heads of Service and the Lead Manager to form the School Health Services Management Team.
