Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join the Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacy Team (AMSPT) on a 12 month fixed term.
As part of the AMSPT you will work closely with the Lead Antimicrobial Pharmacist and Consultant AMS Pharmacist to develop and deliver the Trust's innovative, patient-centered antimicrobial stewardship agenda at the Trust's Oxford Road site working collaboratively with the wider infection MDT that includes microbiology, infectious diseases and infection control.
This role is perfect if you are dynamic, self-motivated, compassionate and an excellent communicator and if you have an interest in improving patient care across the health care economy.
Main duties of the job
To deliver a high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy service with regards to antimicrobial stewardship and to establish effective relationships with clinical staff and other stakeholders.
To promote the responsible, safe and cost-effective prescribing of antimicrobials, to optimise clinical outcomes, minimise adverse reactions and errors and to limit the development of antimicrobial resistance in patients across MFT.
