Job summary
An excellent development opportunity has arisen within the Community Administrative Service for an Admin Lead in South Manchester. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead and supervise the day-to-day work of the Community Podiatry Team.
This post will be an ideal opportunity for you to develop your leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. This will be a challenging and busy role requiring the successful applicant to have excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their own workload and work to tight deadlines.
The successful applicant must possess the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a calm and professional attitude. A flexible approach to working across sites and the ability to adapt to changing priorities with confidence and a helpful manner is essential. You must have at least two years' office experience. You must have excellent computing and communication skills as well as strong team working qualities. You will be provided with training and support.
You must be able to travel between a variety of community sites.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective administrative service is provided to the Podiatry Service within the locality. This will include line management of staff, including conducting appraisals, managing sickness and ensuring deadlines are met. The post-holder will be required to implement policies and procedures in their own area, communicate effectively and act independently. The post-holder will be expected to exercise their own judgement through experience and troubleshoot only flagging up matters outside of their remit. Provide administration support to the Community Service Leads and providing support with issues of a complex and sensitive nature.
