Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Obstetrics & Gynaecology teams at Saint Mary's Hospital, Oxford Road Campus which is part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to appoint aSpecialty Doctor to complement our team.
The Trust is signed up to the SAS charter and the Department will endeavour to support applicants looking to apply for consultant posts via the CESR route. To date 9 SAS doctors have been employed by SMH, 6 of these attempted and successfully achieved CESR. The Department will also endeavour to aid successful applicants in the development of specialist interests within the fields of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Our SAS doctors are senior members of the team and have opportunity to attend department meetings and take part in quality improvement projects to develop our service and undertake clinical audits.

Main duties of the job
Specific job plans will be organised following discussion with the Clinical Directors and Job Planning leads. This may incorporate out-of-hours commitments, or weekend working. Job plans include 1 PA for SPA. There is scope of some independent work with or without indirect supervision based on experience.
