Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Manchester Royal Eye Hospital where we have been providing world class ophthalmic care to the people of Manchester, the surrounding region and the wider United Kingdom since 1814. If you are a proactive, driven and detail oriented manager with a passion for service improvement and patient care, then this could be the role for you. You will be responsible for providing operational support to the Macular and Diabetic Out Patient Services Team; providing leadership and line management of the administrative teams.

Main duties of the job

You will support the Directorate Manager with the delivery of key performance targets including clinical activity, waiting list and national waiting time targets.You will need to be organised, patient focused, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage competing pressures and priorities.

You will also have strong data analytical skills since you will be responsible for regularly collating, analysing and reporting trends to monitor performance and drive change.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the service responds and adapts to the challenges ahead and will be enthusiastic and resilient in leading changes and developments in the way we provide our service in the future.
