The NIHR Clinical Research Network: Greater Manchester (NIHR CRN GM) is looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to work within our Finance Team as a Senior Finance Analyst.
You will ideally be an AAT member, studying towards and have ambitions to be a fully CCAB or CIMA-qualified accountant. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective service delivery by providing timely, accurate, relevant financial advice, support, reports and information to internal and external stakeholders.
The post holder will assist the NIHR CRN GM Finance Manager with the department's operational running, future development and management.
You will provide support with budget planning, financial modelling, financial returns and reports and, on occasion, be required to deputise for the NIHR CRN GM Finance Manager.
NIHR CRN GM is hosted by Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). The NIHR CRN GM core team is based in Citylabs.

Main duties of the job
You will be part of the NIHR CRM GM Finance team responsible for providing management accounting, financial planning and analysis, budget monitoring and control. You will use your skills to add value and enable informed decision-making on business processes and plans.
What will you need to bring to the role?o A commitment to providing a high-quality, customer-focused service;o The skills to deliver the comprehensive and timely monthly reporting of the NIHR CRN GM financial position.o Line management of the Finance Analyst;o Support with the annual budget-setting process;o Provision of financial support to network-wide projects;o Assist in the provision of training and development of colleagues.o The ability to take responsibility for an entire project or piece of work and deliver a positive outcome, proactively arriving at practical and innovative solutions to any problems and challenges;o Attention to detail and conscientious, enthusiastic, flexible and proactive approach to work;o Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds;o Excellent presentation and writing skills, including report writing;
