An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Lung cancer as a Governance and Quality manager.
Band 7
37.5 hrs per week
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the clinical governance management for the Directorate of Lung Cancer. Including learning from patient safety event processes within the Directorate, meeting papers production and ownership of escalation as required to the Divisional triumvirate and / or the Assistant Director of Quality Governance
Responsible for the monitoring of the incident reporting system, approving incident reports and initiating / undertaking reviews
Responsible for supporting the review of incidents
Responsible for investigation case allocation across the directorate.
Responsible for ensuring that serious incidents identified through complaints are reported through the Trust Incident and Risk reporting
Responsible to implement Learning from Death Reports review across the Directorate to identify any investigations required and lessons learned
Attend and provide monthly reports to the Divisional Quality Group on behalf of the directorate
Attend and provide monthly reports for allocated screening Group
Responsible for co-ordinating safety and clinical alert actions and completion and identifying clinical relevance
Support the Directorate in ensuring that lessons are learned from incidents and complaints
Support the Directorate ensuring action plans are produced and relevant to clinical practice, and that these are completed within the timescales set
Preparation of governance reports, action plans and any other relevant documents
