Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive individual to join the leadership team in the Department of Reproductive Medicine.

The post will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of operational issues and performance targets due to the varied nature of the specialties involved. The role also offers a wide range of opportunities to transform our services as we rebuild following the COVID-19 pandemic in a way which we think will benefit the department, our staff and our patients.

Main duties of the job

To manage and coordinate one of the Gynaecology sub-specialty teams within Saint Mary's Hospital, Managed Clinical Service. To manage clinics/theatres through liaising with clinical staff, patients and various other teams such as the validation team. The role includes direct supervision of a team of administrative staff. This will include arranging cover for annual leave and sickness often at short notice.

  • Good standard of education. NVQ Level 4 in Management/ Administration or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development within existing role and the ability and willingness to undertake further study in line with service needs
  • Knowledge of data protection issues and patient confidentiality
  • Experience of working autonomously within a high-pressure environment, and planning and organizing work to meet specific deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter who will approach tasks in a co-ordinated manner and with sensitivity, thus ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on target, without supervision
