Community Senior Patient Support Worker

Job summary

The Senior Support worker will work as part of a multi-disciplinary community rehabilitation team in Trafford. They will have the knowledge and skills to work across therapies at a high level of competence, within agreed protocols, under the supervision of a qualified professional.

The post holder will work within a community based team assisting registered professionals, including Occupational therapists and Physiotherapists in the implementation, delivery and evaluation of rehabilitation programmes.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will take responsibility for their own workload within a broad framework laid out by a qualified therapist. The post holder will be responsible for delivering defined Therapy input without direct supervision, but will have immediate access to a qualified therapist for advice and direction as needed.

The post holder will use technical and creative skills in the provision of therapeutic activities for individual patients and will be responsible for evaluating and amending treatment programmes and interventions with guidance from the therapist.
