Job summary
We are looking for dynamic audiologists to join us at Manchester Royal Infirmary and the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Our departmentis unique in providing all hearing, balance and implant services for adults and children under one management structure and within one hospitalTrust.
There are two positions available - one permanent and one fixed term for 7 months. You will have a varied audiology position working with adults and children within our state-of-the-art centre with opportunitiesto develop future specialisms. As a department, we see a large number of patients with complex hearing problems and much of the work is non-routine which will present an opportunity for you to develop specialist skills.

In addition, the department has close educationaland research links to Manchester University and we are a part of the Hearing Health Theme within the NIHR Manchester Biomedical ResearchCentre.
Successful candidates should have a BSc in Audiology/Healthcare science or equivalent.
Main duties of the job
Primarily seeing adults within the audiology service with some paediatric hearing assessment clinics . The department offers complex and routine adult and paediatric audiology assessment and habilitation work including wax removal, vestibular assessment and rehabilitation, tinnitus therapy, and bone anchored and cochlear implant services for adults and children

In addition, the department has close educational and research links to Manchester University, and you will be involved in the training and mentoring of students as we are a dedicated teaching department.
You will be joining a diverse and friendly team of audiologists speech and language therapists, admin, and management, who are all focused on providing the best possible service to our patients. The post-holder will be expected to work closely with students, assistants, and more senior staff to ensure that a consistently high-quality clinical service is provided.
