Clinical Research Practitioner - Band 4 full time
NIHR Clinical Research Facility, Wythenshawe

This is a new role for a research practitioner with special responsibility for patient recruitment. The post holder will be required to be knowledgeable about clinical research and clinical trials, and training and support will be provided to achieve this. Their main role will be to lead on patient recruitment across a range of trials supported by the CRF. They will be required to work with the study medical team to identify best ways to find eligible study participants and approach them. This may involve attending clinics, including those at other MFT sites in the MCRF network. Responsibilities will also include phoning patients to approach them about research opportunities and explain studies and processes to them, requiring a good level of knowledge and communication skills. The successful applicant must be able to work well within in a team, show initiative, and be flexible in their approach to challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in improving patient engagement and recruitment, and acquiring new transferable skills.

What we're looking for
We're looking for a full time Band 4 Clinical Research Practitioner to coordinate and be responsible for patient recruitment into research at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can contribute to the development of research within the Clinical Research Facility at Wythenshawe hospital.
Although the role will be primarily based at Wythenshawe hospital occasionally some cross site working may be required. Having a clean driving licence and access to a car would be beneficial but not essential for the role.
